Notice of Limited Operations Due to Lapse in Appropriations
Due to a lapse in appropriations, most activities of this office are temporarily suspended in accordance with the Anti-Deficiency Act (31 U.S.C. §§ 1341, 1342, and 1517). During this period, our office is authorized to continue only those activities that are excepted under the Act.
We will continue to conduct 341 meetings of creditors, appoint trustees, and perform certain other essential functions as necessary to ensure the resolution of cases or to prevent imminent harm to persons or property. All other non-excepted operations will resume once appropriations are restored.
